Flotsam & Jetsam
I walked the riverside pathway. The one that goes down to the sea. Flotsam and Jetsam, swept up by the tide. Castaways, men overboard, "and me." Flotsam and Jetsam, a waste of humanity, or humanity's waste? Scattered leaves, broken branch; burned log, worn out tyres, "and me." Brought in on the rising. Flotsam and Jetsam no longer to ebb, to flow, with the rhythm of the sea. Beached at last, "Just like me." |

Very well done, rapps. I like this one. I can fully relate to how you formulated this verse. You definitely tell a story here, and, your ending is most acceptable and worthy. A good, solid piece with a great close.
Keep this style as your own poetic touch and let it grow, rapps. I'll be popping in more on the future and enjoying my stay with you here. This work was good! Is mise le meas, tommy boy moran / "The Island" / Sinn Fin Ireland === |

Thanks Tommy , The river is the Tyne, and you can walk that pathway right down to the sea.
