Followers of this religion see death as their chance at salvation and passage into a better world. So to them, this world has less value. No point in building heaven on earth.

Incorrect. Jesus is the only chance at salvation, life. And why would we want to leave this Earth? Dying on Earth doesn't speed up the time till Jesus' return. Jesus taught us to live and love life. This world has great value, because God made it and it has a purpose. And Jesus will come to take us home, all we gotta do is endure the bumpy road through this uphill travel.

If I may ramble some scattered thoughts for a bit:

1. You may want to Youtube Cristopher Hitchens' debating "Is the Catholic Church are force for Good in the World". Now he references specifically Catholics, but you get the point. The audience generally agrees with Hitch and goes toward a big "No".

2. Your premise is a little off in an a prior sense, but not in the practical sense. The teachings are similar to the advice the Fishwife gives to Gilgamesh. Enjoy life and have it more abundantly, stewardship of the land, etc. However, practice you get false prosperity preachers and other assorted wackos who miss the point entirely.

3. I had a third point, but I already forgot it.

1. Be resurrected to our great Lord
or
2. Remain dead forever and be thrown into the lake of fire, this is known as the second death.

Ur purpose in life is to be happy fulfilling gods purpose for u. This earth is not our "home". Why would u want to stay here instead of have everlasting life in heaven? No more sadness. Only love.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Again, hell is merely temporary, it is the grave.

You either get life or remain dead.

your still skirting around the main question here... you live your life here, on earth, to get to heaven, right? so the only value on earth is to get to heaven, am i right?

I live my life, on earth, to please my creator, my father, my friend, my god. Not for the gaining of anything, not heaven, not rewards on Earth. But because I love my father and wish to serve and please him. Again, has nothing to do with getting into Heaven or not, that's not even in the equation.

Interesting philosophy; it's completely incorrect, but still interesting. I'd love to know how a person develops a concept like this.

What happens when you die?
When a man is dying, the angel of death come or any of his helpers they take the soul out of the body. Then the grave test begins, two angles will come to him, they will ask that soul who is your God, what is your religion etc. They will ask him what he did in his life. After he answers all questions, the angels will open a window in the grave and they will show him his place in the hell or in the paradise.
Good persons will be in comfortable grave and bad persons will be punished till the day of judgment. The day of judgment is another hard test.
