When someone's first message compliments things that have nothing to do with your profile you know they are making things up right off the bat. I want to start off with honesty. Like when someone tells me you're so smart and so kind. I could be but that's not anything on my profile so what makes you think that?

Just got a message a few minutes ago from someone who was born and raised in Oregon, lists himself as White Caucasian but writes like someone from another country and not one where English is the predominant language. This is common among some scammers so I delete and block them. Making me a favorite without knowing me is another turnoff. To me that should be something which is decided later with time. I do the exact same thing Missy

This is common among some scammers This happened to me just yesterday. His profile said he was from the UK, but he sounded foriegn when I read his profile. And when I looked again, he'd changed his ethnicity from middle-eastern to caucasian. Hope he makes his mind up about which he wants to be, because as far as I know, I'm staying well away from him.

Another one I don't like, is when some men are too forward, and are like "Hi baby" or "Hi dear". Don't call me those names if I don't know you. I'm not yours.

Delete.. Deny.. Decline .. Now if only there was a filter for receiving messages . Someone nudges you .. Nudge not returned. So they send you a kiss.. Kiss not returned. Somehow this is a prompt to send a message. Out of frustration .. Message returned clearly stating not interested. And there it is .. another message .. Unbelievable . Do men just not get it Most likely these men aren't "getting it", might explain their persistence.

just wondering what circumstances would make you ignore a guy/girl's message after getting their mail for tha first time Why not ignore it? Nobody is required or obligated to reply to a message sent by a complete stranger. A better question would be, "What circumstances would prompt you to reply to a message sent by a complete stranger?" |

I don't get many messages, so I actually respond. Usually just to get no response back. So, sometimes if you respond back with some substance, they won't bother ya anymore. At least has been my experience.

I ignore those that call me baby or such in the first email..just to name one reason.
