Real Clear Politics has posted a commentary titled "The Ten Most Corrupt Politicians in U.S. History"

Of the 10 chosen, 4 are Republicans and 6 are Democrats.

The commentary contains this statement:
"... this list includes only those public servants who used their office for financial profit."

Using the same criterion, who would you choose as being the most-corrupt politicians of your nation?

John McShame
Lindsey Graham
Dyin Frankenstein
Nazi Piglozi
Slimy Reid
.......

Ah hell! Just look at a list of WH admin, cabinet and staff, most of the Senate and House members (a good estimate would be about 80%), then throw in most of the SCOTUS for good measure!

The odds would be in your favor on that bet

A POTUS who has never had a real job to speak of but claimed $1.6 Million taxable income, who is buying a $6+ Million mansion on Maui for retirement when leaving office.... but "not a smidgen of corruption" there.........

WE should vote to make them all wear uniforms with sponsor labels!

Forget the top 10 most corrupt, you have 2 corrupt parties that act as one (Dems & GOP) who are bringing down the system by carrying on reaganomics, pro corporate legislation, pro rights losses, keeping the FED (A centralized, for profit, private bank), "too big to fail"/"too big for jail" policy, protecting/enabling/expanding monsanto, privatization to the wealthy for profits, leaving jobs & wages in the hands of the wealthy/1%/job outsourcers, pro warfare/meddling for resources to create a privatized wartime economy, "pro provider" healthcare systems, suppressing cures wile upping treatment methods, protecting their offshore tax havens and they are creating a virtual aristocracy system of entitlement based on wealth. It's why we have a 50% on or below poverty level and a cumulative 20something % unemployment rate.
It's also the job of the government to regulate or choose those who do for everything we have in this society. The furthest it's gotten to any of that is "Voter friendly rhetoric geared to a liberal or conservative audience" with no actual changes (especially based on the rhetoric said) that are for the people. Most of the changes we have had have been at the expense of the people and that's been the consistency of the actions done by those in power.

When the bulk of your elected officials come from 1 of the 5 backgrounds overwhelmingly: 1) Pro Corporate Lawyer, 2) Business Person, 3) Former Lobbyist, 4) Actor/notable public figure and 5) Career Party Politician it's basically a business set up with a legal team, deciders (the money is taken as profit while cutting the people as needless expenditures) and a Marketing/PR/Sales team for getting it to be bought by the public.

Cutting it down to a top 10 is a deflection given that it's taken bipartisanship to keep this up and going. It takes the eyes off the current problems we have (which are the elected Dem & GOP officials and parties they have which are already both corproately approved, purchased and enabled).

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
—C. S. Lewis, 1953

I am very surprised my hometown Congressman John Murtha did not make this list..

I do believe had he not died during the investigation of Kuchera Defense Systems he would have gone to jail..

He lived a very charmed life..

He, his friends, and war/oil/banker buddies wrote the book on "How to kill a president and get away with it"....

So then if I understand your rantings, you would like the people to depose the fascist tyranny we currently have for a more polite tyranny of a new party system.

But I do not know that which I find most appalling, the proposal or the total lack of understanding of what a republic implies or stands for. I believe it would be the lack of knowledge of the power of critical thinking.

But if only Lewis had understood the absurdity of having both simultaneously, he would have been able to predict our current predicament. However in his defense, I'm sure he could not have bought himself to believe the absolute depravity of the modern masses.
