I could easily imagine myself behaving this way (although less likely very early in a relationship). The manner in which I work on projects lends itself to my vanishing into my own space for brief periods. Some folks are rather aloof and hermit-like to boot.

This is why you should re-evaluate later. If you are deeply bothered or offended by the behavior, it is best to learn early rather than later. Emotional capital does not seem to spend like economic capital. :\
