Topic: Hippocratic Odumbo Regime Accuses Russia | |

How Can the US Accuse Russia of Violating International Law?
After invading Iraq illegally in 2003, with no sanction from the UN, and no imminent threat being posed by that country to either the US or to any of Iraq's neighbors, after years of launching bombing raids, special forces assaults and drone-fired missile launches into countries like Yemen, Pakistan and Somalia, and killing hundreds of innocent men, women and children, after illegally capturing and holding, without charge or trial, hundreds of people it accuses of being terrorists and illegal combatants, after torturing thousands of captives, the US now accuses Russia of violating international law by sending troops into Crimea to protect a Russian population threatened by a violently anti-Russian Ukrainian government just installed in a coup. How many times has the US sent troops into neighboring countries based upon the claim that it had to protect American citizens during a time of turmoil. We have Grenada in 1983, Panama in 1989, the Dominican Republic in 1965, and Haiti in 2003, for starters. Would the US hesitate for even a moment to send troops into Mexico if the Mexican government were overthrown in an anti-American coup, and if demonstrators who had led to that overthrow were attacking Americans? Of course not. ... Of course, we also had, last year, the outrageous case of the US pressuring European countries to bar their airspace to the official jet of the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, which was ultimately forced to land in Austria, where it was subjected, also under US pressure, to a complete search in a vain attempt to find National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden. US government authorities thought Morales, who had just been on a state visit to Russia, might be flying Snowden back to Bolivia, where he had been offered political asylum. Now this crude interference with the flight of a national head of state, not to mention the searching of his plane, was the height of illegality under international law. A presidential jet, or even limo, like a foreign embassy, is under international law considered to be part of a nation's territory. Violating it is as much a violation of international law as would be the military invasion and occupation of a piece of a country's territory. It is in fact an act of war. One need only imagine what would happen if Air Force One, carrying the president of the US, were diverted and forced to land by some foreign nation. Does anyone doubt that the US military would be put on full alert, and that a fleet of bombers and aircraft battle groups would be immediately dispatched to punish the offending nation? People, it is time to wake up to the tyranny we the American people support. The US government stopped being righteous many decades ago. Is it no doubt that the world hates the US. And many thanks to Sojourning_Soul for an excellent source. I hope I'm not stealing your thunder. |

The probability of Ukraine defaulting is minimal, as the country's currency reserves are still sufficient for the country's direct foreign obligations in 2014, and international financial donors are actively working on the issue of providing financial aid to the country, according to the strategic planning department of UniCredit Bank.
"Talk of imminent sovereign default resumed with renewed vigor, given the difficult situation in the country's state finances and foreign exchange reserves. Nevertheless, we consider the probability of such a development minimal," reads a statement sent to Interfax-Ukraine. "The IMF, the EU and the United States are making serious statements about possible financial aid, which could greatly exceed the Russian anti-crisis package of December 2013," UniCredit Bank said. According to the report, the country's domestic debt increased through placing government bonds, while payments to international institutions, particularly the IMF, facilitated the improvement of the foreign debt position. The bank also calculated that the government in January attracted $200 million and UAH 3.7 billion on the domestic market. At the same time, the Cabinet in January repaid $220 million on foreign currency domestic bonds, $648 million on the IMF loan and UAH 2.78 billion on domestic bonds. At the same time, according to UniCredit Bank, the government in February will have to repay UAH 544.9 million on domestic bonds, $200 million on foreign currency domestic bonds, and $366 million to the IMF. In addition, according to the report, the program of the Ukrainian government could ensure that Ukraine quickly overcomes its economic crisis. |

Pot calling the Kettle Black,so what! Funny how Russia all of a sudden became Christlike! Interesting in the light of Soviet-Skullduggery from '17 to '90,and pulease don't tell me anything has changed! That would be but your opinion and obviously not one enthusiastically supported by more than a few here and I might add the few that have skin in the game as they say. So I take that you have nothing to add to the topic that would be constructive, just a little rhetoric. |

Funny that those very same Banks also operate in today's Russia, and pay a good part of their Profit to the State of Russia! Russia is in the Loop like everyone else! Smoke and Mirrors Old Son! First, the Russian Central Bank belongs to the federal government: Article 2. The authorised capital and other property of the Bank of Russia shall be in federal ownership. In pursuance of its purposes and in accordance with the procedure established by this Federal Law, the Bank of Russia shall exercise its powers to own, use and manage its property, including the gold and currency (international) reserves of the Bank of Russia. This property may not be confiscated or encumbered with obligations without Bank of Russia consent unless the federal law stipulates otherwise. The state shall not be liable for the obligations of the Bank of Russia and the Bank of Russia shall not be liable for the obligations of the state unless they have assumed such obligations or unless federal laws stipulate otherwise. The Bank of Russia shall cover its expenses with its own revenues. Wow, a constitutional bank operated under control of the government. But here is what is really unique: Article 3. The purposes of the Bank of Russia shall be as follows: to protect the rouble and ensure its stability; to develop and strengthen the banking system of the Russian Federation; to ensure stability of and develop the national payment system; (in the wording of Federal Law No. 162-FZ, dated June 27, 2011) to develop the financial market of the Russian Federation; (this paragraph was introduced by Federal Law No. 251-FZ, dated July 23, 2013) to ensure stability of the financial market of the Russian Federation. (this paragraph was introduced by Federal Law No. 251-FZ, dated July 23, 2013) Deriving profit shall not be the purpose of the Bank of Russia. |

yep,Political Velcraft! and doesn't say a thing about nationalized Banks! actually, this is closer to what expired! http://www.worldcrunch.com/business-finance/nationalizing-the-elite-the-kremlin-039-s-new-plan-to-quash-dissent/duma-putin-law-foreign-bank-travel/c2s11285/ shows the Mindset of the Political System in Russia, not unlike the one of the Bolsheviks! Outstanding when you come to think of it. A law on foreign bank accounts was passed - but went almost unnoticed. Under the new rules, Russians and permanent residents in Russia are required to do all their transactions through Russian bank accounts. That means, for example, that if someone is paid into a foreign bank account, that money must be transferred to a Russian account - the only exception being for Russian citizens who live abroad and do not come back to Russia even once a year. ... But owning property abroad does not mean that someone is independently wealthy, and for many it will mean choosing between a life-long career and cherished vacation properties. It also means that the government will be losing a fairly large number of employees who decide that working in the government is not worth the restrictions. It will also mean that today's business people will never get involved in politics. I love how the article tries to spin this as a bad thing but really how is it bad. It really does put the brakes on corruption. And it really doesn't stop any business men from taking office, just so long as they have no foreign ownership outside the state. |

The chance of the Ukraine defaulting with the IMF involved is 100%. That is their soul purpose in life, in fact that is exactly what they want, the soul. The Russians offered somewhere between $12 - 15 billion depending on the source with no strings attacked. The Ukraine could still trade with Europe and even got a discount on Russian gas, below market value, unlike the IMF offer with a ton of restrictions imposed. And so naive, the government solving problems, especially economic ones, not in this world. And the only worse source of economic information besides the Italians would be the Greeks. |
