Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, said Congress will consider applying targeted sanctions against Russian persons and entities" in response to the country's decision to invade Crimean Ukraine.

On Saturday, Russia's upper chamber approved President Vladimir Putin's request to send military troops to parts of Ukraine.

"Vladimir Putin is seizing a neighboring territory - again - so President Obama must lead a meaningful, unified response with our European allies to bring an immediate halt to these provocative Russian actions, which threaten international peace and security. The Russian government has felt free to intervene militarily in Ukraine because the United States, along with Europe, has failed to make clear there would be serious, potentially irreparable consequences to such action," Corker said in a statement.

"The United States and our European allies should immediately bring to bear all elements of our collective economic strength to stop Russian advances in Ukraine," Corker added. "Congress will consider targeted sanctions against Russian persons and entities that undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."

Wow, the broke and the busted are going to bring to bear our collective economic strength. What are the US and Europe expecting Russia to do, rescue their worthless fiat currencies?

Are you really that misinformed? You have no clue what is actually happening in this country, much less the world.

You probably think all those people around the world hate us because of our freedoms, don't you?

Are you that misinformed? Read up on the Budapest Accords, which most American's don't know about or remember. In the early 90's we (America and Brittan) signed a memorandum with Ukraine into getting rid of their Nuclear weapons. Their worry was just this, Russia coming in. Part of that was a promise said if that happened America and Brittan would get involved and push Russia out and protect Ukraine's borders.

Oh yeah, the Budapest Accord. Everyone is really informed about that, CNN, NBC, FOX have been running it non-stop. But I really though it hilarious when the US ambassador and the British ambassador bought it up at the UN. But what was really great was the bimbo US ambassador offering to recognize the coup government. Priceless.

Speaking of the coup, where is that in the Budapest Accord? Wasn't there something in there about recognizing the sovereignty of Ukraine. Yeah, that's the whole accord with the exception of the non proliferation part.

What about the EU, Britain and the US staging unrest and financing a coup of an elected government. What about the agreed upon elections in December? Things not going the way of the IMF?

Oh wait a minute, it couldn't be that someone actually believes the US government, the Federal Reserve, the IMF and the World Bank are on the up and up is it?

And just to make sure things are perfectly clear, Putin and Russia was invited into the Crimea by the Crimea government to maintain peace which is exactly what they have done.

And if you want to see just how far this government will go, nah can that facts of just how far the US will go are immaterial to those with their heads in the sand.

A coup? Do you even realize what the hell was going on over there? He was impeached through their version of Congress. The guy was a crook, a close to 100 million dollar mansion with a Zoo, Bowling Alley, Tennis Courts, $14,000 linen, Millions in light Fixtures, millions spent monitoring media while his only job for the past 30+ years was government which his pay was about $2,000 a month.

He got caught being a corrupt elected official and got booted, and the people revolted. They majority of Ukraine doesn't want to be a Russia puppet state anymore they want to be part of the EU.

Really...

Viktor Yanukovych may be a crook, but in Crimea he's still the president.

Politicians and corruption, part of the job description....

Yanukovych, the luxury residence and the money trail that leads to London

And the extent of all that bribe money from Europe is astounding...

Protesters discover treasure trove at home of ousted Ukrainian president

And to imagine just how pissed the IMF was when he chose Russia over their offer of slavedom.

Ukraine crisis: Shocking video shows snipers picking off protesters in Kiev

"The trouble began in November when the president abandoned talks with the EU, instead forging closer ties with Russia."

Snipers stalk protesters in Ukraine as Kiev hotel becomes makeshift morgue

"Opposition fighters also spoke of active police snipers, though such rumour has coursing through the protest movement for weeks and cannot be corroborated."

"Sniper movement was also reported in the government quarter, where spent bullet cartridges were scattered on the ground. Holes in a wall suggested the use of live ammunition. The interior ministry said security forces had been issued with firearms to be used "in self-defence and in line with the law"."

So just to whom do these snipers actually belong?

Ukraine Crisis: Video Evidence of Government Snipers' Massacre of Kiev Protesters

There is a video of supposed police snipers but pay close attention, no shots were fired from him. But there was one outstanding statement in the article....

"The Ukrainian opposition and at least 10 pro-government MPs have called for an emergency parliamentary meeting as a conclusion to the unrest is sought."

So go ahead with your blind belief of the government being the innocent, I know different. About the same as Assad using chemical weapons. Wonder where the rebels got those rockets, anything to do with Benghazi?

So what do we really have, a normal corrupt politician that courts the west and IMF and collects it seems very richly on promises not delivered and instead stays with Russia. Funny that was who he was before elected, isn't it?

So after he makes the choice for Russia, and the US invests $5 billion, the riots start and protestors get killed. What better way is there to stage a coup. Just couldn't wait for those early elections.

And to cap it all off, an ex-IMF agent is now the interim president, nothing fishy there is there?

So go ahead and keep your head in the same, mass media will tell you all you need to know. Oh, by the way have you seen the expose on Sandy Hook, my at what the government wont do to misdirect the idiot public.
