I know what you're saying, Jesse-san. This goes back to that other thread about where gov't and people focus their resources.

If I stopped to think about all the people who need help or the crazy lucky breaks that some people get and why others don't, it can really get depressing.

I'm not sure I know how to answer you, except that I feel like we each can do just a little bit more to make our circle of influence a little bit better.

And for you Jess? Why would you ask that question? This post has nothing to do with that. He has to do with a sweet little boy and his family who desperatly needs help. Don't you understand that????????????

This is a family that a horrible freak accident happened to. I do all I can for families in need in my area and actually volunteer many hours a year for many different causes including Katrina victims. I am not suggesting anyone should pick one over another and if you know of sites for petitions please post them. I would be more then happy to read and sign.

Extreme Home Makeover is picking one deserving family from each state to assist. I think if I'm not mistaken that they also have gone down to help the ones that Katrina harmed. I know the building is slow in many areas, and that assistance is being made avaiable, but can't update you on what is being done.

Hard times are rough on many... my heart goes out some...

And for all who needlessly and aimlessly extrapolate with incorrect assumptions...
