God only wants us to love everyone. Outside of that there is very little to no "instructions".

Although no one knows what any of the proposed "gods" might want, many claim to have such knowledge after reading a book by unknown ancient promoters of religion who claimed they knew or listening to lectures by people who claim to know (after reading the same book).

"Play nicely with each other" may be good advice (most of the time) but organized religions typically go far beyond that with instructions and commandments and proclaiming a wide variety of things as "sin."

It seems almost inherent in organized religions to inflict their beliefs on others by force of law. "Love one another" may not be objectionable, but "You must do this and not do that" based on religious preferences and opinions is objectionable to many.

The age or when these things were said or done do not take away from their relevance or authenticity. Unless you're gonna say 2000 years from now or so "assuming the world is still then" everything that was done today or taught today will become just as irrelevant or "unauthentic".

Sin - To commit an offense or violation

God gave us the laws of the things he wishes us to abide by. You will not find one law that is there that doesn't have some relevance to loving others. No stealing, no lying, ect.

No it's never a "have" to thing more then you "have" to obey the laws of the land including but no limited to no speeding, no stealing, ect. Tis why we are judged. It's not black and white, it's not a do this and that happens or fail to do that and this will happen, ect. It all boils down to God's righteous judgement. And thus why no man know's who will or won't go to Heaven, thus why we are not to judge in the first place.

How do the scriptures suite the purposes of the emperors? It's not like the scriptures say obey the government without question or giving them any specific power over any specific person(s).

you know why... control by fear... the same way your church controls you..

There is absolutely no control by fear, control by fear is impossible in this form of obedience. It's a choice to be obedient or not, and in the end we will be judged on how we lived. One has to believe first in this before it has any form of control or effect on them in any way possible.

And my church doesn't control me. If a church said to do this or that and or possibly behave this way or that way I would tell them no and just do as God has informed us how to be. Not saying I'm pure and obedient 100% of the time, I fail my God daily unfortunately. But nevertheless it's God I listen to, not some church or "organization".

really? is that so... where do you go if you don't follow what your preacher says god wants?

Through prayer and the bible, a book that contains the knowledge needed for the knowledge to please our Lord.

God only wants us to love everyone. Outside of that there is very little to no "instructions".

since you sidestepped the answer, i'll answer it for you... hell...
if god only wanted us to love everyone, the hell concept wouldn't be around...

Hell is for Satan and his following angels. Hell is not for man. Hell is the grave. Thus why hell will give up the souls therein for judgement.

Revelation 20:13
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Notice, the "sea" and "hell" gave up the dead. Doesn't say the sea and the ground or anything of that nature, says the sea and hell.

Hell is merely a temporary holding place. So again where is the lack of love?

Who inspiried the great men who were there to write... isnt it the Holy Spirit ? That is of God.

The bible is a historical book and a book that tells the future, everyone including the angels have a choice to follow Jesus Christ or their own understanding.

The bible also discourages debates on spiritual issues because its up to all of us to come clean (repentance, wisdom and understanding) and turn our hearts to God the father and his word (Jesus Christ)

And no matter how much people want to say the bible has been edited and all those things... i only can say this, the more you try to disapprove the bible its core message still remain ... Jesus Christ is the way, truth and life... :)

I find it interesting how the Bible is circular- you start off with the Noahide code and a thousand pages later, you have Jesus basically teaching the Noahide code. A lot of BS in-between, but some good stuff like Ecclesiates

First, the bible requires wisdom and understanding that only comes through the holy spirit and Jesus Christ, this isnt just another "fictional novel" but rather historical facts!

To those who say there is "BS" in the bible need to rethink their thinking ... am not here to cause division but rather people need to know that Before even Noah, Jesus Christ was and he is the one who gave him instructions on how to prepare for the flood because the earth corrupt, look at the world today and tell me thats not where mankind is heading too ? back to corruption,
So

So for those who think the bible isnt right and true, they need to pray and humble themselves for wisdom comes only in knowing your creator
