A tip-off led police to the macabre discovery in Anambra, Nigeria, with 11 people being arrested and AK-47 guns and other weapons being seized.

Human flesh was apparently being sold as an expensive treat at the restaurant, with authorities saying that roasted human head was even on the menu.

"I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised," a pastor who had visited the eatery said.

"So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price.

"What is this country turning into? Can you imagine people selling human flesh as meat," he added. "Seriously I'm beginning to fear people in this part of the world. "

Another local added to the Osun Defender newspaper: "I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel; dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel.

"So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the early hours of yesterday."

The tabloid reported that two army caps, 40 rounds of live ammunition and 'so many cell phones' were also discovered by authorities.

All that free meat in Nigeria, why are there starving kids there?

I have attempted to follow the news trail to find out the original source of this news and my findings are as follows:
13th and 14th February 2014: News item published online by several western media including Yahoo, The Independent, Metro and Mirror all quoting Osun Defender
5th September 2013: News item published by Osundefender.org acknowledging it was curled from Naijazip
4th August 2013: News Item published in Naijazip.com acknowledging it was curled from Naijaloaded
8th February 2014: News item published in naijaloaded.com.ng by a person simply identified as Dellyma. No further acknowledgement of secondary source.
Please note the dates of these publications. It seems someone is trying to use the publication in naijaloaded.com.ng to tie up loose ends.
All the quoted Nigerian websites have no physical contact address and are suspected to be run by people of Yoruba tribe; perennial antagonist of the Igbo tribe in whose land the incidence is alleged to have occurred. The two sides were on the opposing side in the Nigerian civil war.

I think we might have to take the Story with a Grain or more of Salt,cause I couldn't find any Corroboration on Mainstream-Media either!!

Should've checked YouTube, it's there and provides a link directly to a Nigerian newspaper, OsunDefender, datelined September 5th, 2013. That has a link to their source, NAIJA ZIP which is datelined Sunday, 4 August 2013. That has a broken link to Naijaloded, but that can be rectified by adding .com. But their search engine cannot find a link to the story so what's the point, YouTube is good for a lot of things if you know how to research.

The intelligent researcher never fails to use any and all resources at their disposal to rapidly and diligently arrive at a conclusion. The not so intelligent has a tendency to develop a bias that is to their own determent as ignoring resources tends to lend an incomplete status to the conclusion.

Thank god I had a boss that always came up with those little jewels that made a conclusion incomplete even though it didn't really matter as it should have been dismissed.

Now do I always go to that depth here, not really, not worth it unless I need to make a point, then it's just pure enjoyment, priceless.
