kevin was the player that left the bills vs. broncos game with a potentially catastrophic spinal injury. the last i heard he had temporary feeling in his limbs but the doctors don't think that the chances of his recovery are very good at this point in time. no matter what his medical diagnosis is he is going to have a very long road to travel as he attempts to recover to the best of his ability so if you could send him some peace of mind and strength in a prayer or a thought it sounds like he could use it.

Best wishes, thoughts, and prayers go out to Kevin, his family, and those close to him. This is the side of sports we as fans don't think about much. The fact that what we see on the field is dangerous, and lives can be altered in the blink of an eye.
we should say a prayer before every game we watch, asking for protection of the athletes on the playing field.

That is hard to watch, knowing that its possible every week.

it reminded me of mike utley. he use to play in detroit and was paralyzed from the neck down on a play. he has since ragained motion in his hands but no doubt had to do a tremendous amount of physical therapy.
