Having trouble finding any free time to date or just hang out with anyone. Im a single mom with two kids and Im working two jobs, mostly 3-11pm shifts or 15 hour days. I barely get to see my daughter(20mts) 3-4hrs a day. The sitter is practically raising her. Because of the shifts I work I had to find a private sitter which means it takes me an hour and a half just to get to work. There's just not enough hours in the day, not enough days in the week.

I'm sorry to say but being a mother to my 19mon old son,I strongly believe my child is d most important a person I would want 2b wth if I find any free time because this is the transitional phase where a baby needs his mother d most

I've been a single mom to my 12 year old for 10 years now and it has not been so easy juggling everything - work, home, balanced meals, homework, play dates, sleep overs, illnesses, health, play time, trying to do budget and fun holidays and then sacrificing me time. Dating - as a widower and a toddler was unthinkable - you need to have a good, trust worthy support group and not just the baby sitter because you might end up working one job only to pay the sitter :-(
It is a balancing act and one where you have to time-manage how you can get quality time with your precious bundles and still get an income.
I've freelanced now for 6 years and as risky and unstable as it sounds it has afforded me the opportunity to work around school breaks and summer holidays - I would not have been able to be here for my daughter as a mom if I had chosen to work corporate - the sacrifice was a larger, more stable income and 14 hour days - or 12 hour days, early on Fridays, earn less but be everything I can be for my daughter.
Life still has its ups and downs but I think our bond is so strong and solid that I am now able to confidently say that I can go into the corporate sector, work the longer hours and come home to an independent pre-teen, who has 2 feet on the ground and an unshakable look towards her future. After 4 years of only focussing on my daughter I decided that it is time to see what is out there, and a dating site is a means to an end, without sounding cliched, it might appear more clinical, but it does save you some time and you are able to do it from the comfort of your own home and close to the little sleeping angels, and you don't need to dress up and go out - someone is out there just looking for you :-)

.. yes the security of your home or office or car.. the convenience of looking.. for that special someone.. without having to put your best foot.. physically . forward... I admit it does have its drawbacks... the overload of information... the not really knowing who's on the other end... but the time. is effortless... I do this mostly from my mobile device... this . meaning. my quest for my better half.... I check my mail according to my schedule.... I reply or choose not to reply... I am very careful to reply to . those who message me though... thank them kindly.. and send them . pleasantly a longer . their way... if they do not meet my criteria.... my children are latchkey children... they are able to look after themselves for the most part... I am NOT an absentee parent.... I have my own career... I am stable and happy in my new life... and I am not in an overly big hurry.. twofold another person into . my and my childrens lifes.... at first I thought it was a bit backwards.. in the outside world. you're attracted by the person physically.. are through some other sense... then you approach and exchange polite conversation.. on the hopes that there is a mental connection... but .honestly in some cases... the metal might not be all that important.. winking at everybody.. but the time required.. for online dating.. and not to mention the resources.. the babysitters needed.. picking out what to wear... the trip to the barbershop... everything that goes along with . looking for a date in the real world... well the time on here.. doesn't seem all that much..lol... sincerely PhD...
