yeah even if he doesnt need the counciling you could get him some and it would make you look like a good parent and make it seem as if your allegedly troubled son was getting help (not saying he is just thats the conclusion it seems the schoolboard is making)

Sorry to hear that you are going thru all this with your son. But try and contact the school's advocate and explain to them the type of person he is and his behavior. But I also agree with coolhead, he did vandalized private property. But see what other choices they have other then that alt school. yes- i agree he needs to "learn" from his mistake
however, like most punishment for children they do not learn from it. what does a child learn when the parents end up paying a fine? or he continues but has to be bused to another school
for 30 days? or anything like that?
i believe he should have to wash walls, pick up trash, etc for thirty days.
