My pastor once told the beautiful story of
Kathryn Kuhlman, the renowned American
healer and preacher, and the story is yet to
leave my spirit. Before she passed on at
the age of sixty-nine in 1976, she said that
when she finally met Jesus face-to-face,
she was going to tell Him something very
special in short words.
She said that she was not going to tell
Jesus that she loved Him, that if Jesus did
not know that already, He would never
know. She said that she was going to
simply tell Him, “I tried.”
My pastor then asked us what we are
going to tell the Master when we finally
meet Him.
This question has been burning in my heart
since I heard it. I made a promise to
myself and to God that I would
exhaustively use everything He has
blessed me with to reach as many people
as I possibly could with the saving gospel
of Jesus Christ. My resolve is total; my
commitment and conviction is absolute. I
would rather die trying or be caught up by
rapture on my way to reach the next
unsaved soul.
In 2 Timothy 2:4, it says, “No man that
warreth entangleth himself with the affairs
of [this] life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
I know I am not alone.
