Using a few safty precautions will avoid a variety of problems the most common just disappointment and wasting your time. Keep your off your sleeve for a while and get to know the lay of the land. Read help threads and dn't be afraid to ask for help from moderators. Bottom line "Scammers" do exist. This is the REAL world wide WILD web folks. Be cool.

The just want money or information to try and get your money usually but don't be stupid and give out phone numbers and ALWAYS meet in public places if you decide to do that. If anyone is not coming up with and equal investment of verifiable information, any thing sounds flakey move on to the next Mingler. PLEASE Do every body a favor and REPORT anything suspicious or offensive. It takes seconds and WILL improve your odds at keeping good people involved and meeting the one that makes it worth being here.

As newbies you will not get a lot of quality responses until you show up a few times and get some time and posts on your history. Fine tuneing your profile is a process. Posting friendly, upbeat, even humorous remarks helps. As does SMILING , :happy, did I say well lit photos. Out door photos are almost always better lit. Selfies are fine if they are in good taste. Remember your landlord, parents, and employers may be Mingler's and you just don't know it. Every time you add pictures and update or post you get viewed. This is a visual medium so if you want responses use spell check.

Just as DUI is dumb so is posting DUI and no whining until you get at least a 1,000 posts under your belt. Kidding of course but either of the foremention will be internet dating suicide because the people you want to meet often watch you a while before they respond and what you put out there can be researched.
