Topic: REMEMBER | |
---|---|
I don't know if this is the right area to post this but I just wanted to post this because of this coming Tuesday being 9/11. I'm not sure of anybody else but I feel that all of the people, police, firefighters, etc. included, that lost their lives that day should always be remembered. Not only should all of those people be remembered but all of the military too, not only Tuesday but every day. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

Something I wrote a little while back, I hope YOU don't mind? It is in HOUGHTS of ALL THEN and NOW....
They heard the call on September 11, now they watch down, from up in heaven. They heard that call, and made their flight. Got to the site and saw all the fright. Men and women screaming in fear and pain, as the smoke poured out like rushing rain. Help the people is all they knew, grab the strechers and run them on through. Through fires and flames passing all the people screaming out someones names. Climbing the stairs higher and higher, all their way, fighting the fires. Broke open the doors, people in panic rushing out to lower floors. These men and women were hero's through and through, fire, police, and citizens trying to rescue. Many lives were lost and many lives were saved. So lets all give thanks to the one's who braved. Lives were lost, other's trying to save. Let us all NEVER forget that terror filled day. I just wanted to KEEP them alive in our minds here. |

Glad you posted that. I had an e-mail the other day asking to turn on my headlights in honor of 9/11 which is a good gesture also. I would put my flag on my car, but it is back at home in South Carolina. Thanks to all the policemen, firefighters, and our troops, and all the families of those lost. May I also say, that before 9/11 there was the Oklahoma City bombings and we that also affected our country as well. God Bless all those who gave their lives, and all those who have been there in time of need. God Bless America. God Bless each of you. The Red Cross, etc. for all they do. |
