A woman was shot about 11:30 a.m. at Carson Tahoe hospital, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

She is having emergency surgery, Furlong said. A gun has been recovered, he added. The shooter was taken into custody.

No one else was hurt. The shooting comes about a month after a shooting at Renown hospital in Reno left two people dead, including the gunman.

The thing that sucks is they wont release who the victim is other then a nurse on the third floor and a very good friend is a nurse on the third floor who was working today............

Thank god it wasn't our good friend or anyone we know, but it still sucks and is sad. This is the second shooting at a hospital in this area in the past two weeks. I have a hunch with Obama care and the lack of treatment people are going to be getting I see this as a possible unfortunate trend I think we will hear more and more of as Obama care takes off. People are going to get pissed off they aren't getting the care they should be getting.

First we had that School shooting here at Sparks Middle School where the hero teacher who was also a retired Marine and current member of the Nevada Air National Guard (Basically USAF Reserves) was killed as he was protecting a couple students from getting killed, and he did save their lives.

Then we had that other hospital where two or three doctors killed by a psychotic patient,

Not this other hospital shooting today at Carson Tahoe Hospital. Which I don't think they announce or even figured out the true motive yet.
