Topic: Sometimes Life's like this

Not quite sure whether I should be telling this story but sometimes real life and jokes, the boundaries seem to vanish; like on the occasion when..,
I met a girl with startling blue eyes and
I married her.
It was after the wedding that she took it off
those blue contact lenses, I mean

I'm not quite sure what's the connection between the color of the eyes and the quality of life but pretty soon I lost my job,
and she too sensed something amiss and like the good girl she was, left me. Admit, I was a bit relieved

She also kind of forgot to take a few things
and among those were those spell casting lenses
And as I mused over it an idea was born..

------
Hey folks, if you want to hear the rest of the story then I need some encouragement, yeah?

Obviously the eyes have it and you did not!!!Perhaps its your eyes that were not open as marrying for attraction in itself is lame and reeks of desperation.. what was the rush to marry in the first place? Sounds like you just took a leap and forgot to actually meet the woman just saying

I like this thread, continue... it reinforces my strong belief..."be best friends first" and you will have a life time friend and maybe more

Agreed.

Note, this story is set in India, at a place where dating was unheard, before this internet age. So orthodox tradition demanded that there was no 'dating', no skin show, no...., hah forget it.

So yes; the eyes have it. Sometimes burns you up.

Thanks Kandy,
Reminds me of lines from some chronicle; the days when “Men were deprived of female sex and beauty until they supplied security”.

Anyway to continue, so I had this bright idea. If I could be ‘fooled’ there could be many more, right?

Maybe there was a market for tinted contact lenses. Blue, green maybe even yellow for the daring Leo's. Definitely a 'turn on'.

Maybe women could change the color in line with the color of their 'sarees'; a color to indicate the mood; possibility seemed endless.

But the question was how to tap this market; here i was without job; without wife - thinking up a racket, or was it?

They already have tinted lenses. Marilyn Manson wears 'em all the time.

Hello OH
that was quite a prod.

But i thinks the story is for the ladies here.
Part II would tell on how my Ex helped out.

Allow me to clarify.
In India, during the 1990s,soft contact lenses were being sold by J&J.
I think Bausch & Lomb stepped into India a bit later.

Anyway, tinted lenses were a rarity in the early Nineties.

Now getting back to the story.

So I went over to Ex’s place over a weekend, returned the lens and she was thrilled, simply cleaned then and while we spoke put them on.

Something broke in me & all of a sudden I started grabbing her and asking her to come back and stuff like that and she was in two minds about it too. At that moment her cousin came in and pretty soon I said my goodbyes.

But one thing I did learn from the visit was that those lens were imported (her Singapore vacation) and was not off the shelf stuff, as I had thought. Required a special instrument to measure the ‘curvature of the cornea – not by the ‘power number of one’s glasses’ ‘ as I had initially thought.

So here I was left holding a small rented shop in a neat neighborhood, (where I planned to show case medical wonders - primarily the lenses) with a six month rental pre-paid and no job and no wife. As they say, when things go wrong, it rains cats n dogs.

Do you folks want me to cut this story short?

I'm slightly intrigued so please continue...but if it takes too long, I'll stop reading. For the time being, I'd like the story to go on. laugh

don't look at the colour but panties, work or not will give you a value of your marriage.
