his ma thinks i have post partum depression. i said if im depressed it ain got anything to do with just having a baby. and everyone around here thinks i was crazy to call the cops cuz i have no surface bruising or anything and we could have worked it out on our own that night. talking to him is like talking to a brick wall! i had to show him some how i ain gonna be done like that. no bruising on my face but it still hurts like hell!! and he says he didnt hit me that hard

You know what, it makes absolutely no difference whether there were marks or not or hard he hit you or any other excuse he can come up with. The problem with abusers is, it always starts out like that, always. And it always ends with you in the hospital or the morgue, with a whole lot of pain in between. You did the right thing, you know it, we know it. Of course his family and friends will support him, that doesn't mean you have to listen to anyone. One of my best friend's ex-husband, that's how it started out, a little push, a little slap, some verbal abuse. We all told her to get out but she kept making excuses for him. Until one day, she couldn't anymore. He beat the hell out of her in front of their 2 year old son, she was pregnant and lost her baby and almost died herself. Only then did she leave. Her son was so traumatized, he didn't speak, and I mean at all, for 3 years. Don't do that to yourself or your kids.
