How do you feel about the revelations? Snowden? Policy?

Knowing your rights to privacy have been completely ignored and violated now, do you blame Snowden for revealing it or the intelligence agencies for doing it, covering it up, lying about it, and the illegal uses/abuses associated with it being secretly shared/used in lower level prosecutions. Police have been told to reverse engineer the info they receive so as not to reveal where it came from, for leads or "evidence" in prosecutions they would not otherwise have due to restrictions in the very laws they claim to enforce.

For me, it's pretty cut and dried...... It violates our rights under the Bill of Rights, PERIOD! And I blame an out of control gov't and corrupt policy makers for the need for people like Manning and Snowden.

I look at it this way..... we're in a prison where the guards control. Being left out of the loop of interactions between our guards (as we are not allowed that info or insight) we know nothing of their friendships, interactions or personal involvements.

Now if we see a group of those guards breaking the law, how do we know who to trust with the info? Telling the other inmates (citizens) does little because acting against it just creates hardships or laughter as unbelievable, and telling another guard.... well, it could go either way, but usually, your just another convict (citizen) with a grudge, so it dies in the air of the conversation. Quite possibly because it's not believed, or like the other convicts, the guard (congressman/woman) simply doesn't want to make waves either, even if believed.

So you document the abuse or violation, and slip it to your attorney (maybe wikileaks or in this case Greenwald) or a visitor, who brings it to light thru sources outside the prison complex (gov't). So who is the bad guy? You, for exposing the abuse thru the only channels available that might bring action against it, or the secrecy or policies of the guards or prison (the gov't et al) allowing or committing the offenses?

This isn't rocket science! This gov't has claimed the right to make you disappear, deny you an attorney, violate "your privacy" (under the 4th amendment) to obtain any info they claim gives them the right to do so, but uses their power of secrecy (always national security) to invoke "their right" to privacy so no evidence against them can ever be brought to light.

It is, purely and simply, the fox guarding the hen house!

So "we're going to have debate and discussions".... the problem is the "WE" in that equation. The gov't is going to have a discussion about gov't agencies and policies....slaphead

Have you seen anyone prosecuted or fired yet? How about Clapper? Sibilias? Holder? Anyone in the IRS? How about Clinton for Benghazi?

Nope! Only those who expose them! Perhaps some subordinate will be thrown under the bus, usually who was only following orders. Let's not forget the youtube film maker that WAS used as Clintons fall-guy! (and.....forgotten)

If it wasn't so serious, it would be laughable. That is proven as the abuse continues and Snowden is still in exile instead of granted the ability to testify without fear of being disappeared or executed..... for the public good. Manning is in prison..... silenced, for a very long time. Case closed....and again, forgotten!

The gov't/media discussion always seems to be about the messenger, taking focus away from the message! The faces behind these distractions are always the same! The Fienstiens, Reids, Kings, Grahams, McShames and Rodgers et al who sit on these intelligence committees, telling us who the bad guy is, and who our enemies are.

Would you admit to your employer that you are stealing, abusing or violating company policy.... in this case, the Constitution? The ACTUAL treasonable act.....
