That was when they were on vacation and Lucy was inside trying to cook lunch while Ricky was driving. If I remember correctly, he was towing it with a caddy. |

I finished this yesterday.
It was a 40's model travel trailer. If, I can find modern rims, I will use it as a base for my mini home. It's 18 feet from the front rail to the back. I'll just use it for vacationing at some property I have in Ft Stockton. I can leave it parked there. |

I was going through a little depression for the last couple of days and i "apologise" to all on here!! Adjusting to my new environment and this weather here keeping me here i guess got the best of me, but i'm back to norm.now ready to continue!!
These are all good projects i've seen on here and i hope you see them through"don't give up" really its also good therapy to do this, but also "it won't work for everyone" and everyone should live as they so desire in life!! Be yourself and true to yourself always!!"graywolf55 |

As of Dec.1st i have become officially unofficially homeless! Most of you that have viewed my pictures on here never seen my project i've been working on now for 2 years"Barney" a 1987 School Bus i've converted into a Motorhome. I moved into it permanently in Dec.after liquidating all other property i owned for the last 30+years. I live where i work with no rent or utilities to pay with the Company having 24hrs.security if i'm there. It really works out good for all involved. Rent here runs around $1400.00 with utilities for a 1 bedroom apt. therefore giving myself a raise. My property taxes decreased from $4000.00 yr to $124.00 yr.and i'm in the Country next to a Lake on 86 acres. Yes I can cook, have heat&ac.hot & cold running water, restroom, shower, satellite television ref.freezer, all convinces necessary plus mobility. The way i figure it if i do meet someone "we either kill each other or get along?" Anyhow there you have it "Full Disclosure"like it or not. But the stress has been more easily tolerant for the last 30 days!! And it is Very Comfortable and better built than a normal RV. Any Questions?? WOW! I applaud you for being able to live so minimally! The person you find will definitely have to be on the same wave length as you! Good Luck, babe! |

I'm not going to lie to you, i'm still adjusting to it myself"fulltime" instead of every now and then. I haven't done this"except for trucking" in 14years. Takes some getting use to now,but is less stressful otherwise!!

I came up with a new idea over the weekend- A foldup deck on the back of Barney. I'm adding a 2ft.extension with an 8ft.deck. In doing this now i have storage for my propane tanks on one side and my generator on the other side of the rear exit door. I'm adding a winch to the 8ft foldup deck and an awning over top with an aluminum flatbottom boat to be stored on the roof of the bus. When folded down i will have my own private dock for fishing. From the rear wheels to the end of the deck its app.18ft. giving me that to back up to where ever i fish, swim, boat at my own private place to be at! There are plenty of Rivers,Lakes or beaches around here for the purpose! The only thing i need to remount will be the rear lights on the back! Be ready for warmer weather and more fun!!
