Read the end of Revelations. Those who come alive for the 2nd
judgement are judged by thier works. whether good or bad. Remember it
says it is better not to have known than to have known and not done it.
Yahweh is a Rightous Elohim

Of course ppl of different faiths will be in "heaven"! Why not? The
bible only implies that if you KNOW about your faith, and choose to go
against it, then you might be in trouble.

Think about it - you are only held responsible for the sins you commit
knowingly. Is a person who never knew about your faith liable for
violating your faith? No way. Look at the old testament - the laws in
Exodus, Leviticus etc are very explicit and deliniate between those "of
the faith", and everyone-else. The laws of moses dont apply to Gentiles.
The Gentiles didnt commit the sin of worshipping the golden calf. The
lesson is clear - individual responsibility.

How else could a "loving god" damn 'innocent pagans' to 'hell' ? C'mon
thats just absurd.

...but that assumes you beleive in a 'hell' in the first place, which I
as a beleiver reject firmly.

THERE IS NO DOUBT THERES A HEAVEN, A KINGDOM. ONLY BELIEVERS IN THE WAY
GO TO HEAVEN, SORRY I USE THAT TERM INSTEAD OF CHRISTIAN BECAUSE ALMOST
EVERY AMERICAN CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN.GOD WILL NOT HAVE MERCY ON SOME
ONE TODAY FROM ANY SUPER POWER COUNTRY LIKE OURSELVES. GOD IS MERCIFUL
YES, BUT HE IS NOT NEGOTIATIVE. JUST BECAUSE YOU DO GOOD DEEDS WILL NOT
GET YOU INTO HEAVEN. YOU HAVE TO SEEK REDEMPTION FROM THE FIRE. ASK FOR
HELP. GOD WILL SEND ANY PAGAN TO HELL THAT HAS HEARD OF THE WORD. HE
WONT SEND THOSE FROM 3RD WORLD TRIBES, BECAUSE THERE IS A SHEET OF
BLESSING OVER THEM, THEY NEVER LEARNED. AND DONT SAY SOME PEOPLE NEVER
LEARNED THE WORD. BECAUSE THATS BULL, IN AMERICAN YOU CAN WALK 30 MILES
IN ANY DIRECTION AND FIND A CHRISTIAN CHURCH. I THINK MOST OF YOU MAKE A
MOCKERY OF THIS TOPIC, MOST OF YOU ARGUE WHEN ALL YOU KNOW IS WHAT
YOU'VE READ AND DON'T PRACTICE. I'M SORRY IF IM THE BAD GUY, BUT THIS IS
A TOPIC THAT MEANS ALOT TO ME, ESPECIALLY AFTER ALL THE STUFF THATS
HAPPENED TO ME, I WOULDNT BE ALIVE IF I HADN'T SEEN GOD'S WILL IN MY
LIFE.

To any of you who ever held a precious offsping of your making in your
arms, HOW could you believe that a God who beholds us, knowing all the
faults that nature and society has bestowed on us,
that that God could turn us away? I would never, could never, abandon
my child, I would die before to save him, if I am old and he is old, I
would still not have it in me to turn from him.

How could anyone possibly expect less of God?

Punishment - how many of you Christians believe in capitol punishment?
Do they not teach in your Christian studies that punishment is meant to
teach - what lesson is learned from eternal hell? Please - explain??

I'm with you Redykeulous , but Deanpender is right about the 'sheet'
thing, but that (I believe) pertains to ALL of us, because we are all
ignorant of something. He is also right about the fact that you can go
in 'many' directions and find a christian church. That just proves the
divisions of the church.(The People). The God that I know has
unconditional LOVE for His children also,Redykeulous.Especially after
the words that MikeMontana affirmed, Thank you Redykeulous for helping
me point out the fact that the God that "'I'" know, is incapable of such
an act. I don't believe in hell either.

Oh Redy, I look fwd to your thoughtful posts.

Capital Punishment & Christianity. Good topic. I say that the bible
teaches that murder is a valid cause of action under specific
conditions. Namely, that the failure to use deadly-force to protect your
family from threats on their lives is a sin worse than killing someone.
In other words, we are required to defend our families with force
sufficient enough to protect them. Not to oppress, not to dominate with.

As stated elsewhere, I reject the idea of "hell". However, if such a
"place" exists, then it would HAVE to serve the glorification of God
(after all, He would have created such a place). So, if it exists, it
was built by Him, and it has to serve his purposes. The only logical
usefulness would be a "remdial teaching", or more exactly, a
purification process (much like the refining of gold). So, there cant be
any "eternal punishment" - the Essence of God [life] cant exist in
'hell' for all of eternity, otherwise God would diminish and wind up in
'hell'. Logically absurd.

Netusurella you pointed out that Dean had a point about the "sheet"
thing. Actually the Catholics and Lutherans abandoned that thought many
years ago. There idea was that there is no know place in the world that
has not been exposed to the teachings of the Bible. I personally
disagree, only because we can not escape the teachings of how we are
raised. Being "exposed" to the Bible or any religeous material will not
make us change what we have been fed since birth. However, some
churches belive differently.

Mike - you have this great off kilter belief system, that delightfully
seems to work so much of the time. This time I might point out that
whaat you describe as hell being a remedial teaching point or place of
purification (I understand it's just an idea) is reminiscent of the
Catholic purgatory. I just can't quite buy that one either.

Only God knows who is written in the Book of life. But there is no
physical book: seeing God accuratly and acting in accordance is what
keeps one's soul alive.
