yeah most of the smaller King and schoolies are ocean caught...some of the bigger Kings are ocean caught...most of the bigger breeds, 'Japonicas' being one, are farmed in ponds here now..

yeah I worked night shift for a while on a pranw farm here, packing prawns for live export..and they were huge.

They are amazing..and yes, look prehistoric...I used to feel sorry for them...but couldn't do a 'born free' escape thing without ending up in gaol forever..

It was kind of wierd going to work at ten at night, donning snow wear in the middle of summer, to go into below zero fridges to pack them live, knowing they were asleep....poor things, I wanted to put little blankys and pillows in the boxes.

They were asleep, but spikes from them were so common, and took forever to heal, they pierced thick gloves...seriously tough spikes on prawns..



We just opened a letter from our sponsored kids!!! We have new pics and they are sooooo cute!! They live in Indonesia, a sister and brother, and are so grateful for the new shoes and school uniforms we sent them...awww am all teary...:heart:
