i have a toshiba laptop, windows7 OS, it seems i got those 2 tool bars when down loading things from the internet. one is from ASK, and one from AMAZON.

I tried to remove them from control panel, but i could not find them there, so it seems that they are hidden somewhere else.frustrated

how to remove them or at least to hid them.

remove any related software from the uninstall a program option (not sure what it is called in OS7)

then go into the tools menu on the browser itself - internet options, program, manage add ons in IE. You can disable them there.

I also have firefox , it looks like you can manage add ons from the home page but I haven't had to mess with that yet - maybe someone else on here has a little more FF experience
