Topic: how to remove unwanted tool bars | |
---|---|
i have a toshiba laptop, windows7 OS, it seems i got those 2 tool bars when down loading things from the internet. one is from ASK, and one from AMAZON.
I tried to remove them from control panel, but i could not find them there, so it seems that they are hidden somewhere else. how to remove them or at least to hid them. fred |

remove any related software from the uninstall a program option (not sure what it is called in OS7)
then go into the tools menu on the browser itself - internet options, program, manage add ons in IE. You can disable them there. I also have firefox , it looks like you can manage add ons from the home page but I haven't had to mess with that yet - maybe someone else on here has a little more FF experience |
