I was pleasantly surprised,
By the look in your eyes,

It was totally unexpected,
To see our love still reflected,

To recall why we fight,

Or do we retreat in defeat,
Refuse to take the deeper leap,
And regret forever not making up our mind?

Whatever we decide,
The sooner the better is implied,
Or another partner will step right on in.
