Miss the companionship for sure. I miss coming home from work to a warm smile, and a kiss. Even a simple "How was your day Hun?" is something I miss.

I miss trying to build a life with someone. Growing with that person, learning about eachother everyday as times and days change. I miss providing for someone.

I miss the inside jokes, the laughter.

I believe few people intend to be alone but sometimes things happen and time slips by; the older you get the more things tend to complicate finding a mate from economics, to health, to just faith that finding love is possible at any age to name a few. I do think it is critical to invest time and commitment to the process and not just expect what you want to fall out of the sky. And not pass up someone because they don't meet some idealized laundry list of what you think will make you happy.
