Topic: North Texas braces for ice-laden winter storm

All of North Texas will be under a Winter Storm Warning starting at 6 p.m. Thursday and extending until 6 p.m. Friday. The system will bring the coldest temperatures of the year along with the potential for practically all of North Texas to be covered in ice. The first dose of cold air is moved into the region late Wednesday, and temperatures were expected to drop into the 30s by daybreak Thursday. The mercury will hold steady or slowly fall throughout the day, and we'll be right around the freezing mark around 6 p.m. We're in for a frosty weekend. "We do not make it above freezing until Monday afternoon," WFAA Chief Meteorologist Pete Delkus said. This really sucks. At least someone likes it.

I'm meeeeelting I'm I'm meeeeeelting -31c/ -24f in north BC, just the way we like it Its hard to do huge Seismic 3D & pipline with out a deep ground freeze and ice bridges in musket areas.

I love it when it freezes here, mostly cause it only lasts a day or 3.

Dallas nearly got an inch of ice. I had to scrape my car off twice, the humility of it all.

i'm in fort hood right now, and we got a little bit of ice so far... streets are very clear, which is good

That's nothing compared to what's going on here. Show everywhere and below 0 temps every night.
