Sarasota, Fla., police say they are investigating the apparent suicide of former Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris's (R) husband.

Sven Anders Axel Ebbeson, 68, was found dead Tuesday morning. Police are calling it an "alleged suicide."

The police also quote the family's pastor saying Ebbeson had been suffering from an illness.

Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino said Harris "wanted the community, her family and friends to know that her husband is no longer suffering."

Harris was instrumental in the 2000 Florida recount which eventually resulted in George W. Bush winning the presidency. She won a congressional seat in 2002 and later ran for Senate in 2006, losing to Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.).

This woman is so corrupt, she probably killed him. The only thing she didn't do wrong was during the 2000 Presidential Election. Other then that she was one of the dirtiest Congresswomen and Secretaries of State in Florida and our countries history and that's saying a lot, and you know it's bad when I am attacking my fellow Republicans.

The whole of the Florida bureaucracy is corrupt beyond belief with drug money and the police state..... the two sides of the dirty coin which influences and buys our states politicians.

I live in a small little piece of heaven, but we are not exempt from the corruptions of the capital.....even here.
