it was a new adventure for me to sew the zipper onto the jeans never stabbed myself so much. looking for anyone that quilts need pointers and ideas

I took up knitting! once...
. not as relaxing as it looks.. at least not at first.... I still have something that resembles.. .. well, I don't know what it resembles.. it looks nothing like the scarf I had envisioned..

I have picked up several mags.never really quilted in my life I have repaired stuff and making my jean purses.i love fabric and do dads.any advice will help.yes my sewing machine came over west w/the wagons.

You would be surprised what a sewing machine carried by wagons can create.  I'll send you a message Robin as my settings will not allow you to send me one. If you have any questions feel free to ask  This quilt was made on an old old Singer sewing machine about 20 years ago. The quilt underneath this one was made 30 years ago on an even older machine than the one used for the quilt on the top.  This quilt was made using a machine newer than the old singer though it was not designed for quilting.  For Christmas my Mother gave me a new machine and I put my 17 year old machine away. This quilt was made on this machine.

I am a taxi and a bank for two teenage girls ... not enough time to have my own hobbies. Ok, that is only partially true. I have no desire to have my own hobbies as I am quite content to help them fulfill theirs.

These are only a few that I have made over the last 30 years. I usually make them to give to family members. I am working on one for a friend now. I like to hit the clearance racks for the fabric. It's amazing that an ugly fabric will look amazing in a quilt. I made a black and white one for my Mother for Christmas last year. A couple years before that I made one for my sister in blues, creams and brown. |

so awesome I always thought quilts were art and history and stories. u can weight lift w/my sewing machine. lol The Family Tree Quilt I made was actually inspired by a pillow. I think they are art in their own way. LOL That was how my first and second machines were. So glad they went to lighter machines now though. |

lol I know it will be good when I thread it picked it up 4 $12 at a garage sale and its really in mint condition. hit sales and rejects and 2nd hand stores for goodies.
