To save our lives
Stampeding blindly
Clinging together in a mass of energy
Energy that can only be found in a state
Of panic
Tragic flooding of terror bringing
Brush fires of despair
Set by the careless who couldn't
Care less about
The beauty of one
That belongs to a group of so
Many
So many hearts broken by the abuse of
Others
Betrayal's lashes cause lids to close and
Tears to flow
That are swallowed
Not to be seen by anyone
The pain has painted the inside of hearts and
Souls with pictures
Petroglyphs upon the sides of cliffs
Only the buffalo can see
