There is some self interest behind every friendship, there is no friendship without self interest, this is bitter truth..........

True but there is a difference in tolerable self interest and just insufferable selfish and self centered.

I don't want friends that are gutless wonders that lay down for the whole world to walk all over because the whole birds of a feather concept that would paint a target on my back but a friend that has a kind word or even a considerate "you really are not going to try that" would be well appreciated. I am terribly loyal to the select friends that have done me kindnesses over the years.
