stupid diet the doc gave me for my tummy, it sucks and there isn't anything worth eating on it. A woman can not live on chicken breast, bran cereal and cooked veggies for ever..i will die i'm sure LOL

kater, its worse than my weight watchers, I want a cheesburger LOL. I'm not allowed to eat red meat, fat of any kind, just chicken, fish, rice, potatoes, cooked fruits and veggies, high fiber cereals and breads...that's it! But if it will keep me from ever getting that sick again, i'd do it for the rest of my life. Doc says just a couple of weeks though

hey michele, I landed my butt in the hospital tuesday night with a GI bleed. apparently I have had IBS and didn't know it cause I was too emberrased to tell anyone about what was going on, and I ended up with full blown acute colitis. Ex found me on the bathroom floor covered in sweat. now i just feel like a wringed wash cloth, but better today.

I, too, have IBS and my best girlfriend has colitis. Hers is much harder than mine could ever be. She is a vegetarian and is now practically a vegan since she cannot handle dairy. Honestly, does the diet seem to be helping?

Sleep in? What is that? I wake up no matter what. Sometimes I fall back to sleep, usually not though. Naps are good. Might get one if the cable guy comes at a decent time.

michelle, the diet is helping, but I just started it, I was on clear liquids for 4 days. They think the colitis is acute and transient, that it will heal and get better, but apparently i'm stuck with the IBS, so I have to learn to deal with it.
I am seeing a specialist for more tests in the next couple weeks to figure out exactly what is going on, and i'll go from there. probably stress related i'm sure
