I really enjoyed it. It was not all that scary but the story was very good.

Disclaimer: I watch a lot of scary movies so I'm a bit desensitized.

Thank you I do as well. I can't find a physical copy of this movie no where? Walmart miejer best buy and krogers sold out. Even the red boxes in my area are rented out.

I'm desensitized to Hollywood mainstream as far as scary goes. Fortunately there's films like Absentia that can still creep me out.

I'll have to check that out. The remake of evil dead was watchable
Kinda not what it was hyped up to be. IMO

I didn't even think it was watchable.

Bruce Campbell has confirmed there is going to be an Army Of Darkness 2 aka Evil Dead 4, but there's also going to be a sequel to the remake, and supposedly a crossover movie bringing the 2 together.

I wondered why Bruce Campbell didn't play in the remake? The story line was butchered from the start. Some ok SE scenes though.
I am extremely worried about the new Childs play.

Bruce does do a cameo at the end of the credits!

I haven't seen the new Chucky, but people seem to like it.

Some of the recent horror flicks I've enjoyed- The Seasoning House, Saturday Morning Massacre, Frankenstein's Army, Mold!, The Final, and a really good zombie flick- The Battery.

You know, I have not seen that, but I need to because I'm always hearing good things about it.

I love V/H/S, but I thought V/H/S 2 was a huge letdown, the only segment I liked was the one with the cult.
ABC's Of Death was also a big letdown.

I liked Adam Green's Hatchet III.

Oh, and a fun horror flick from a few years ago, Witches' Night. Set on Halloween night. The actress that played Bruce Campbell's girlfriend Linda in the original Evil Dead is in it.

This is my first putting anything on a forum or whatev it's called but I really liked the conjuring.... There's no gore like the evil dead remake and that's what I loved about the new evil dead... It's like a movie within its own loosely based off the first just like the conjuring is loosely based off a true story... It's spooky but parts r extremely unrealistic! But spooked me none the less! I recommend it :) also ed and Lorraine warren were investigators of the amityville story and the haunting in Connecticut story too and that doll really exists and is still in Loraine's museum in her house to this day :) the daughter Andrea who was played by the girl from Ramona and beezus wrote a trilogy or whatever u wanna call it about her life in the house :) cool right?!

Even though you liked The Evil Dead remake, welcome to Mingleflowerforyou

The true story behind these films fascinate me, even if the films themselves I didn't like. I've never been a big fan of the original Amityville Horror, I actually prefer part 2.

I am sorry u didn't like either of them we must have a dif taste of horror but thanks! And the background is great! The book was better than all the amityville movies

We can't all like the same stuff :)

I do like that it's a horror film that when it says it's based on a true story. It actually is. It seems to be a gimmick now days to claim to be inspired by or based on real events, but turns out it's not.

The Conjuring was watchable. It just didn't really do anything in the element of surprise for me. I might watch it again so I can get my money worth. I wish someone would put out Chucky Vs. Leprechaun
