Fountain Hills is pretty cool. I haven't been there in a while. Tubing down the river is loads of fun! Be sure to wear lots of sunscreen and don't forget your hat and sunglasses! |

My sister lives there and I am planning to move there, to Phoenix, can anyone tell me the downside, other than, of course, the intense heat...my sister moved there from Michigan and she loves it..I live in SC and it gets really hot here too and a lot of humidity..mostly wondering about schools and cost of living. Any helpful info would be appreciated!

Depends...What part of Phoenix Greater Metro area are you moving to? The North Valley is better, like on the outskirts of the city. But East Valley is known for good schools too. The central part of Phoenix is not so good since it's older. Seems to be a lot of homes on the market there now because of the subprime stuff going on. I bet you could find a great deal on a new home. Things are a bit more expensive in AZ than in SC. But I am sure your sis would have more info for you. Feel free to email me if you want more specifics. |

There is alot of reasons people move here and stay...its a great place to live. We put up with the heat for 4 months out of the year and the rest of the time we have near perfect weather. East valley is the better part of the area, Gilbert, Scottsdale and such....just stay out of central Mesa. If you need a tour guide look me up!

What does everyone think about Anthem?
I cannot believe how huge it is! I stop at the park on my way home almost everytime I go to Phoenix, I love those Koi in the pond they are Monsters! at least two feet long and half as fat! |
|
|
|
I guess nobody likes it

There are two... Anthem and Little Anthem. Both are nice planned communities, but they seemed awfully crowded to me, especially at the community pool and such. I'd had to have to share all those facilities with all those people all the time! |
