Many people believe that religious images help them to worship God. Is this view correct?

If people are using religious items or images to help them worship God, then I think you answered your own question. They are worshipping God, not the item or image. It is a reminder of the Sacred, not tje Sacred itself. As to whether using something to grow close to God.. Seems like the right thing to do, what do you think?
