When we think of super powers in the world, three main players come to mind. United States, Russia and China (not necessarily in that order)are considered the most powerful countries in regard to military and economic strength.
But one country has been spreading it's power and influence in the world over the last few decades and increasingly so over the last 5 or 6 years.
Iran has been an ever increasing influence in the world.
Unlike other countries that export electronics and goods to boost their economic influence and power in the world, Iran's biggest export is terrorism.
Some may laugh at this, but Iran's influence and control of many countries through terror organizations, are as much or more dangerous then any threat from the other "super powers".

Iran directly arms and trains militant groups all over North Africa, Asia and the Middle-east. These militias are not just a bunch of "street fighters" and "two-bit terrorists",They have evolved, and are now heavily armed and trained in tactical as well as guerrilla warfare. They have sophisticated weapons, explosives and know how to use them. Some have training and weapons as good as some of our special forces.
There are also groups trained in political and social propaganda and use them quite effectively in recruiting efforts and swaying local populations for their agenda.

If you look at just very recent events, Libya, Egypt and now Syria. They all have heavy Iranian control and influence either directly or through Islamic Fundamentalists.
Terrorist groups, and there are approximately 1200 known, have been spreading across North Africa like a California wild fire over the last 5 years.
Iran is the biggest supplier of arms and training to these groups, more then any other country.

While the world has been focused on their nuclear program, they have been "silently" becoming one of the most dangerous powers in the conventional world.
