I am new to the modern dating scene,I was married a long time. Are the woman expected to make the first contact? Silly question, possibly, but I really don't know. I am kinda shy about doing that.
I am also aware there are some real strange people out there wrapped up ,in what at first appears on the surface to be, normalcy. So, if you got an advice I'm listing. |

Hi, I dont think the etiquette is any different to the real world. If your having 'nudges' but no messages, dont be scared to stick the foot in. There is a saying in football/soccer - 'dont wait for the ball to come to you' ....struggling to see any relevance there

old school rules still apply for today's modern dating. the he man woman haters club has two basic dating rules
rule number one: don't date a woman with boobs smaller than your own 
rule number two: don't date a woman you can't bench press

I think it's fine to stick to what you are comfortable with, but if you like the idea of expanding your comfort zone, you can always try contacting some of the guys first. we are adults, it is really not a matter of "rules" but I also do not think you are obligated to respond to anyone who tries to pressure you to leave your comfort zone if you so not wish to |

Personally I like it when the woman makes first contact, unless it says that she's from another country and just says "Hi", or "How are you?", or tells me straight away that she's looking for a lover and a best friend, or something of the sort; i.e, scammers.
