He need's to man up and take the LIGHT punishment he got for the crime he committed. He got off easy when he almost got 70 years.

Excerpt from the sentencing phase of the trial on August 14 when Manning addressed the court directly and repeatedly apologized for his actions...He said this...

“At the time of my decisions, as you know, I was dealing with a lot of issues, issues that are ongoing and they are continuing to affect me,” he said. “Although they have caused me considerable difficulty in my life, these issues are not an excuse for my actions. I understood what I was doing and the decisions I made.”
He continued by saying that he now renounced many of the idealistic notions he held at the time of his leak.“I look back at my decisions and wonder how on earth could I, a junior analyst, possibly believe I could change the world for the better on decisions of those with the proper authority,” he said. “In retrospect I should have worked more aggressively inside the system.”...

So which story should we believe, the one Manning told before sentencing or the one he told after sentencing....The Judge was quite lenient and he got off easy....

I find it ironic that Mannings releases of all the 'classified documents' did not cause the death of anyone in either the US government or military service while the damages and lives lost of agents , and other people by Robert Hansen and Aldrich Ames where given far less time in prison...very strange values in/ over these cases...

What are you talking about?...I thought Ames pleaded guilty and got life and Hanssen plea bargained to escape death but still got 15 consecutive sentences of life in prison without the possibility of parole...

Hansen and Ames are civilians who were tried in civilian courts.

Manning's sentence is comparable to sentences given to other soldiers who committed similar crimes.
