Having someone leave a mate for someone else does not entail conviction from anyone. I'd say most of the time, it is somewhat an affirmation that one should decide to leave a mate by then. Only happens that it takes someone else to let that person finally realize that he/she should have left even before the affirmation has come. Ethical judgments dictate though that it is not appropriate to leave a mate FOR someone else.

I think we all crave attention and feeling that we are heard! If we are not feeling this in our relationship, then I believe we can become easily enchanted by someone new who does seem to care.
I also believe that we do take others for granted, especially those we love, and we convince ourselves that nothing will change - life is good. And then it changes...

...point of the matter is - when someone decides to leave you for someone else, try to learn from that and do better in the next relationship. If all else fails, start thinking that it may not be you but the mates you choose
 Kidding aside, one could need to make a good choice of a mate.
