If you send a message to someone do they get an email that notifies them of it, cuz if i get a message should i expect an email?

Yeah, they email you every time you get a new message or a nudge and they tell you when people view your profile. It can get a bit spammy, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people don't just ask to have that disabled so that they don't get the notifications.
