Nascarcutey's death has really got me on the emotional side tonight. It just makes you realize that life is such a short stay on this rock. I also keep thinking about the old bomber pilot that I met at the last air show that I went to. He is in his high 80's and he looked up at the Memphis Belle and with a tear in his eye said...it's not fair...I have all the knowledge to go fly that airplane but I can't because of my age. Flying was my life...and now I can't do it any more.

I know what you guys and gals all mean. It's just when someones life is cut short...it makes you think that they had a lot more time here...but got it cut so short. Here today gone tomorrow.

i lost two of my closest friends suddenly in the last few years both of them in their early 40s. changed me.

Slow.....I think the combination of life's events does change us.....I am no longer the person I was when I was young.....full of wonder......but we do see her sometimes.....life/death/divorce etc does change everyone!

I went to 5 funerals in the first 3 or 4 months of this year..one of them was my best friend from when we were 7 years old...she died of a massive heart attack..she was 51 years old...she got up one morning, went to the bathroom and was going to the kitchen and fell over dead...talk about a shock....

Wow ..Vicki that must have been hard on you!! I lost my father last year also. It's sooo hard when the people are close to you.
