Affluent rivers of young women and men
who faught for our country again and again
hero,s in service who lay down there lives
mothers with children young men with wives
they stand between evil and what we believe
keep on defending from those who decieve
when return do we treat them with plenty of pride
there paid just a pittance white collars decide
what price for a life from the willing and true
bare minimum wage to protect me and you
they deserve so much better we should be ashamed
we owe them our future its time they were acclaimed
so government leaders please do the right thing
respectfully treat them and there praises please sing
for maybe tomorrow we could stand undefended
because there needs were ignored instead of attended
