Topic: What Jesus Never Told Pilate: | |

Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when
he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.(John 18:38) Precious Saints of God, Pilate told Jesus that he (Pilate) had the power to release Him (Jesus). He also asked Jesus what truth meant. Jesus realized that Pilate was fulfilling scriptures and didn't respond to him. But, I believe that had Jesus wanted to reply Pilate, He would have said these words and much more: Dear Pilate, no, you do not have the power to release me. I did not only create you and your parents, I created creation! Without me was anything made that was made, including you Dear Pilate (John 1:3). Talking about power, dear Pilate are you aware that all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18) and that you are only fulfilling scriptures? Dear Pilate, yes, I know what the truth is. I am the truth! Anyone that knows me knows the truth; anybody that has me has the truth. More than that, Infact, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). I am also the resurrection and the life (John 11:25) which is why I am permitting you to have your ways. Dear Pilate I am only laying down my life for a reason, and I have the power to pick it up again (John 10:17). For the joy that is set before me I will endured your ridicule, I will despise the shame (Hebrew 12:2). Because I see my seed that will prolong my days (Isaiah 53:10), I will rather not respond to you Dear Pilate… Brethren, there is a big lesson for us here: even when we know we are right and are being unjustly treated, because of who we are in Christ, we should just endure the ridicules and despise whatever shame we may face! |
