Topic: What is Home To You? | |
---|---|
Sucks for you guys. I make every place my home. Life is what you make it. Not what gets handed to you.... Home is where I choose to love. I love my woman....for making me love her. When one soul loves another... That is home. If real love ain't Involved That blows.... Make your home...I hope it is better than you desire. Home....is a good thing . This is true for me too. I'm a Cancer so I can (and do) make a home wherever I find myself. I can turn a tent into a home and feel good there. Home is my sanctuary. It is where I feel safe and can wear my jammies all day. But mostly, home is where the people I love are. I am loving thinking of you in your jammies. I hope that is cool with you and my woman. Back on topic..... You are a freak Cancer! Me too! :) |

I don't see why it sucks to have a preference of one place over another. With or without a love to call home, is it unreasonable to prefer sleep over sirens in the night or fresh air to fog, or back yard bbq neighbors to streetwalkers and gangstas. If you are cool without a home.....good for you. If you are gonna sit there and spit out a phrase like "with or without love"....nothing I can do for you. Good luck. |

I really really miss my old house. The one we lived in before this one. I guess what doesn't help, is the fact that the father of the last family who lived in this house, hung himself in our lounge. I sometimes feel a type of sadness come over me in that house. I will never know if it's his aura or what. I just hope the house has no more suicide's. It's interesting when I try to study it, but I thought the ghost of him would show up at times. Would buy the old house back tomorrow if I had enough money to. lol. My gran has a small, but cosy three-bedroomed house. It's the same one I visited as a child. Glad she hasn't moved house or I'd miss the childhood memories of it. I love the way my grandad decorated it. It's just real cosy. I go there every christmas day and every Sunday. They try to make me feel as welcome as possible, so I like that. I'm voting for THEIR place :)

Yes, I can be happy without love, but I certainly prefer being happy WITH a love. If I don't find a love anytime soon though, living someplace I really enjoy the atmosphere and sink my toes in the sand over coffee is a nice second. At least until I find someone to play footsies in the sand with over coffee. I mean it's not like I can just grab one of these fellas up and say..."ehh, you'll do." |

Underneath the overpass of I-15 out in Clearfield, Utah I had more comfort than any of the six years living in the suburbs. I felt more comfortable rolling through East L.A. than I do wandering down Denver, past the grey people were pretty nice in all of the ghettos I've been through.
Conversely, very few people have been nice at all since I've lived in the suburbs. From hundreds of friends to three overnight...I won't be comfortable again until I move to Canada, but that is for different reasons. |

I'm a suburb kinda guy... half hour from downtown, half hour from nature.. i'm a libra so there's gotta be some balance there. Home to me is who's in it... right now, i'm homeless. (((Johnn))) My spare bedroom is always open to you. I will cook you yummy food and keep my cats from sleeping on you (most of the time). Ruth! That was so friggen sweet of you I'm speechless... |

Home, I think, is so many different things, but, essentially, it is the place where we are most comfortable because this is the place where we are accepted just as we are.
I once read: home is where we are known. Home is where we are already out and proud, and where we can just be ourselves. For me this is home. Having a woman love me just as I am, and for no reason what so ever. To end my day knowing there is someone there to love me would be the best feeling in the world. Sounds corny, but its true. |
