I am hoping it does not turn violent. If Morsi does not step down the military stated (yesterday I believe) that they are prepared to intervene. Egypt has not done well under Morsi he was an unfortunate turn of events. it wasn't long ago that egypt was thriving quite nicely

Our interventionist foreign policy is the gift that keeps on giving. Is there any Middle Eastern country that we haven’t screwed up yet? Oh yeah – Iran (well.... except for the CIA coup against their democraticly elected leader in 1953....when the Shah was installed.....that worked out well too didn't it?).
But give Israel, Obama, McCain, Graham and Kerry time. That will be the clusterphuck that destroys the world. Curiously, a massive wave of anti-Obama sentiment in Egypt has been utterly ignored by the MSM, even though the protests may be the largest in all of human history. |
