Sometimes, it may seem that Jesus comes late to help us. Have you ever asked any of these questions: Where was God when my promotion was being debated and finally rejected? Where was He when my contract was being turned down? Where was He when my Landlord was ejecting me for not paying my rents? Where wasHe when my visa application was being denied? Where was He when my brother was being kidnapped? Where was He when my mother died? Where was He when all my mates were getting married? Where was He when my friendswere having babies and I’m still barren? Where was God when everyone else was prospering financially but me? Where was God when I was being unjustly persecuted? Where was He?
He was where He was when He was told that Lazarus was seriously sick and about to die. He was not in a hurry. He was where He was when Joseph was thrown into the pit, sold as a slave, lied upon and imprisoned. He didn’t have to hurry. He cannot hurry. He operates in a timeless realm. Let me tell you where God was when all these dramas were happening in your life. He is sitting in His throne of sovereignty, grace and mercy. He is sitting where He sees the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end. He has the authority and ability tochange any and everything about anybody and anything.
Isaiah 43:2 - When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Jesus is intentionally delaying to intervene in your situation so that your testimony will become faith-inspiringfor everybody that will hear it. His assurance is that the circumstance will neither damage nor consume you. As your Maker, He will not allow you go through what you cannot handle! Be rest assured of that!
