I find Gnosticism is something I keep coming back to.
I would describe myself as post Gnostic. This isn't really a thing but I feel as if I've moved on from holding the tenets of Gnosticism to be literally true but rather inchings towards truth. Post Gnosticism would be not Christ focused whatsoever. |

Post Gnostic. Interesting. I see all religions and spiritual teachings as part of our evolutionary process towards enlightened beings. The whole human race, not just individually. So, what you say makes sense to me.

I find in gnosis a code of conduct. The ability to look at the self and take responsibility . Be accountable for the good days as well as the bad.

I've never heard of a gnostic church. I don't think it would be like a traditional church as Gnosticism isn't a religion so much as a set of spiritual beliefs.
"Gnosticism doctrine teaches that the world was created and ruled by a lesser divinity, the demiurge, and that Christ was an emissary of the remote supreme divine being, esoteric knowledge (gnosis) of whom enabled the redemption of the human spirit." I thought Gnosticism was more about discovering the truth about ourselves than about following a set of rules or code of conduct. But I could be completely wrong. |

I used to have a book of decannonized texts. It had a Jewish and a Christian Gnostic books in it. What is post Gnosticism to you? I agree that being punished for sin is a way to feel G-d. But trying to live a moral life for blessings is better.

Gnosticism means :knowing, Knowledge, being aware.
Several 'religions' have a gnostic aspect within their works, even though they are based on cherry picked bits and pieces of older religions = fictions. If the god stories are true, then there is only 1 true gnostic, ever. No one with a head full of ancient lies which they believe to be true, can be gnostic within their religion, because if they had the knowledge, they would renounce their misplaced faith. Dogma from the hand of man is not spiritual knowledge. Spiritual knowledge is unwritten, unspoken, unsung. It is just known, felt. |
