the secrets revealed
the nights spent awake
conversations we had
of the life we would make

made my knees go weak
cuddled up in our sleep
a reflection of love
our bodys fit
like a hand to a glove
we opened and shared
listened and expressed
the fears we unleashed
memories no longer repressed
the cries and the laughs
hopes and ambitions
two different lives
with simmilar conditions
now i mentally retrace
let the memories unfold
when did that fairytale
change and go cold
who is to blame
how do we move past
the good and the bad
the love that didnt last
whiskey on ur breath
empty bottle on the floor
accusations on ur lips
telling me im a whore
a moment of shock
i yell and then swear
tell u i hate u
and hit me if u dare
shove clothes in my bags
threaten u with goodbyes
then u tell me ur sorry
i see tears in ur eyes
i fell for the trick
then u pull me in
shut the door with a push
let the games begin
marks on our skin
proof of the war
shattered glass left to sweep
broken dreams on the floor
eventually we fall
no strength left to fight
collapse on the bed
and hold eachother tight
the words that were said
the things that we did
the pain we inflicted
emotions we hid
promises that were made
are replaced by threats
scars on our skin
reflect our regrets
how do we go back
return to the start
when love gave us hope
not bruised broken hearts
when the sun rose bright
and the moon had a shine
gaze in eachothers eyes
and we lost track of time......................
