Three men were in a boat on a lake. Suddenly the
first man said, "I've forgotten my
lunch," and he got out of the boat and
walked across the water and back to
the shore. Later the second man said,
"I forgot my fishing bait," and he too got out of the boat and walked across
the water to the shore.
By this time, the third man thought to
himself, "They are not going to
outsmart me. I've forgotten my fishing
tackle." He got out of the boat and immediately sank.
The other two men stood on the shore
and saw what happened. The first
man said to the second, "Do you think
we should have told him where the
stepping stones were?"
