I turned in a rough draft of an expository essay last night. Its the first one I've written in over 20 years.....I sure hope I get a good grade on it.

My topic was about how video games do not make children more violent in real life. And newbie???? Telling fibs is a good way to get a spanking. That topic; i dont know much about videogames + kids...no first hand information either.. But, all the best!

I think its a cop out excuse by parents that don't take as active as a role as they should in their kids lives.

My topic was about how video games do not make children more violent in real life. Can I ask what some of the points were? I always thought playing games like that would "get it out of your system" to keep you from wanting to do that in real life. Of course running over zombies with a giant machine or truck is fun too!

My main points were that an absence of a strong role model, the absence of a good peer group and inadequate consequences for actions are far more responsible for anti social, violent, and aggressive behavior.

Yep. We learned that there were consequences for doing stupid things.
